Staring

I wonder if our fascination with magazines, and looking at people on the internet has anything to do with the fact that we can actually stare at their faces, their snapped images where we can unabashedly almost study their features without it being weird.

When I’ve been at a live theatre performances, I love that I can sit in the dark and watch these people give their all up on stage, I can stare at them and take them all in, without being judged, without it being awkward at all.

What if we were just allowed in society to just stare at people if we had the urge, what would happen? Would we be less inclined to look elsewhere for the opportunity to do so?

Does this go beyond faces and into bodies, of course.
